With June upon us, that means it is time for the Library’s annual Summer Reading Program! You can start signing up for the program on Monday, June 1. The Kick-Off Party is on Monday, June 8 from 12:00-2:00. There will be free food, bouncy houses, crafts, sensory station, games, and a dunk tank!
Besides the Kick-Off party, there are a ton of other great programs and activities happening in June. Ed the Diver will be doing a presentation on the great work he does in cleaning our waterways.
If you love dinosaurs, you won’t want to miss the Dinosaur Dimensions show on Friday, June 19 at 6:00pm. There will be animatronic dinosaurs who will bring these creatures to life!
If you have plants that need re-potting, then come to the Library on Wednesday, June 24 from 12:30-2:30pm. We will be having a re-potting party where all you need to do is bring your plants and new pots and we will provide the soil, good vibes, and snacks!
We will be showing two movies in June with “The Good Dinosaur” on Thursday, June 11 and the “Land Before Time” on Thursday, June 25. Both showings will start at 10:00am and we will provide the popcorn.
With summer starting we have some different weekly programs to look forward to. A kids’ crafts program is on Mondays starting on June 15 at 1:00pm. This program will run until July 27. Storytime is still on Tuesdays at 10:00am along with LEGO Club, but LEGO Club runs from 12:00-7:00pm.
Lastly, the Library’s Book Club meets on Monday, June 15 at 6:30pm to discuss “The Last Chance Library” by Freya Sampson. Copies of the book can either be picked up at the Library or you can place a hold in the catalog: The Last Chance Library by Freya Sampson
