Summer is upon us and June has tons of big events, not to mention the start of the Summer Reading Program, Color Our World!
The Library is closed on Wednesday June 4 for a Staff In-Service Day. On June 10, we start our Summer Reading Program with an amazing Kick-Off Party. From 12:00-2:00pm, there will be free food, face painting, crafts, sensory table, alpacas, and a foam zone! When you are done with the party outside, come inside and sign up for our Summer Reading Program, Color Our World. All you have to do is read to earn raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several prizes!
The Library’s Book Club meets on June 16 to talk about “What You Are Looking for is in the Library” by Michiko Aoyama. The book can be picked up at the Library. Join the discussion whether you’ve read the book or not. This group meets monthly on the third Monday.
On June 18, kids in grades K-5 can participate in a S.T.E.A.M. activity with 4H at 10:00am. They will be making marshmallow catapults. For teens, there is a paint-by-numbers program on June 19 at 1:00pm. Come hungry since snacks are included.
One of our big summer events is the return of Bubble Wonders on Monday, June 23 at 2:00pm. This amazing show demonstrates anything is possible. Come to the show to see if a square bubble is possible along with other amazing bubble tricks!
We will be showing the movie “Moana 2” at the Library on June 26 at 1:00pm. Join Moana and her friends for another fun adventure!
Storytime returns on June 17 at 10:00am along with Kids Krafts at 1:00pm. These programs will be weekly until August 12 for the summer. There will also be special monthly Storytimes with Clintonville Elementary School staff. The first one is on June 30 at 1:00pm.
