Food for fines

Clintonville Library Food For Fines!

The Clintonville Library is offering patrons a chance to clear overdue fees during a food drive being held September 15-30. This food drive is held in partnership with the Clintonville Food Pantry and Tadych’s Econofoods.

The library staff want patrons to feel welcome in the library and not deter them with library fines. Therefore, we are offering Food For Fines which benefits our patrons and the Clintonville community. For each item donated, the library will waive $1 from patrons’ accounts. All donations, which must be in cans or sealed boxes, will be given to the Clintonville Food Bank. Donated food applies only to fines, not toward lost or damaged materials.

The food pantry organizers have identified a specific need for peanut butter, canned pasta, canned fruit, fruit juice and oatmeal. Other nonperishable items will be gladly accepted.

More information is available at the library located at 75 Hemlock St., online at or by calling 823-4563.
