Curbside Pick-Up Now Available

***UPDATE***  --Curbside serivce will now also be offered on Tuesday evenings from 4-8pm!






Thank you for your patronage during these difficult times. We will be offering Curbside Delivery (begins on Thursday, May 7, 2020, 9 a.m.) on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Curbside may sound like a very simple service, but there is a lot of planning and work that goes into it behind the scenes, so please bear with us.


Please understand there is no entry to the building at this time. Please be patient. Your service will be SLOWER than you are accustomed to. And you may not get exactly what you asked for. We can only offer you what we have on our premises, as delivery between member libraries is limited to returning items to their home libraries at this time. We will be working two queues, phone and email, and requests could possibly overlap, just so you know! We will do our best to get you materials you want.


We have set limits on how many items you can check out. These may change. Right now we will be limiting patrons to 5 items per person or 20 items per family of four or more.


Ordering Process:

  1. Call 715-823-4563 or email
    • If you can, look up in Infosoup, narrow down to Clintonville and see if a particular item is available. Tell us that is what you would like to have (Please be specific-regular or large print, book or audiobook, dvd or blu ray)
    • Otherwise, tell us a favorite author or a particular subject or genre or ideas of what you would like.
    • *Have your library card number ready to give us!
      • We are not capable of running our holds list at this time, therefore you are not able to place requests through Infosoup.
      • We are not able to see those requests and our library system has that button disabled from the search catalog.
      • Library staff are also not able to place holds on items in the catalog at this time.
  2. We will fill your order and call you to schedule a pick-up time. Make sure to give us an in service phone number to contact you at. We will not be scheduling pick up times via email as we can only schedule one pick up at a time.
    • Please do not try to schedule more than one pick up at this time. We are asking you to be courteous of other users. Please think of library curb side pick-up much like grocery store curb side pick-up today, but with far fewer employees. Demand is high and staff levels are low per the safer at home order. Since this is a new service for us, we need to have a solid test run to ensure that everything goes smoothly before we will be able to add additional time slots. We will reassess our process on a regular basis to determine any changes we need to make.
    • While we plan to provide curbside pick-up if it is raining or snowing, if the weather becomes too severe, we may have to postpone or reschedule pick-up times to protect materials and staff.
    • Your materials will already be checked out to you with the receipt and in a bag ready for you.
  3. When you get to the library, park and open a door/window/trunk where you would like the items, call the library to let us know you are here and someone will come out and place the books in your vehicle. If you are walking ot the library, when you call, please stand back at the curbside and DO NOT approach the staff when they bring out materials. They will set them on the bench. Please wait until they are back in the building before approaching to pick up your items.
    • Please stay in your vehicle and DO NOT attempt to hand us anything while we are bringing materials outside.
      • If you have materials at home, please keep them. If you strongly feel you can no longer keep them, please put them in the drop box. Any items returned in the drop boxes will be quarantined for 72 hours BEFORE being checked in. No overdue fees will be charged during while we are still closed to the public.
    • If the above rules are violated, you may no longer be eligible for curbside pick-up. This is to keep you and your families and library staff and their families safe.
    • If you do not have a cell phone, please call us before you leave your house with an estimated time of arrival and the color/type of vehicle you are driving.
    • If you arrive late, or miss your slot, please call the library. We will try to accommodate you if we have the time and staff available.
    • If you need to cancel your pick up for any reason, please call the library and let us know.

***All library materials checked out currently have a due date of June 1 or later. If our closure lasts beyond that date, due dates will be extended to whenever we open again.
